What I meant was Juanita had "cutesy" storylines like wearing Gaby's makeup, talent show, making friends etc. I could never see any of those sitcom-ish type arcs in the first four seasons. Lynett's kids (when they were small) were always the backdrop of her storyline, not the main focus. Which worked for the show's dark theme: suburban housewife w/ the seemingly perfect life. No PSA-type messages or forced, sitcom humor.
I also wanted Kayla (Tom's daughter) to come back and enact revenge on Lynette. She was supposed to return as their babysitter for the newborn, and create terror whilst blaming Lynette. Like a "Hand That Rocks The Cradle" arc. Would've been awesome, but we got more boring Tom storylines.
Also, Gloria and Alma left too soon. Dixie and Valerie made season three for me with their banter about Orson. And Orson was another character ruined by the five year leap.
It used to come on after another show I watched and I would watch it sometimes. I've only seen maybe 10 episodes but from what I've seen it's really good.
