Mine was the reverse. Grew up in predominantly white neighborhoods with predominantly white schools. The first time I went to a school with a majority black population I was in 9th grade. I got called an oreo and made fun of because I "talked white". Eh. I think the first black girl I had a crush on happened in 11th grade. Her dad is now my boss at my day job. The day he hired me he was like "Did you go to school with (girl's name)?" He asked her about me and she spoke highly of me. I guess I can thank her for my day job.
Did Devin actually talk about his race issues? Like I grew up in a very diverse family. I come from a diverse background. Cultural and race issues suck for kids. Especially when you're told that you're different simply because you might have a different upbringing or different interests. Can really **** with a person's emotions. Poor Devin.
