The 42-year-old performer was rushed to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal after she “got suddenly ill” during a sound check, according to a statement from W&W Public Relations. The mysterious illness forced her to cancel the Montreal show she was preparing. Two more shows in Boston and Philadelphia have been cancelled since Janet Jackson missed a Montreal tour date because of a reported illness. Chatter from both the Web and the streets has it that “Miss Jackson, if you’re nasty” is scratching appearances because she’s already performed to plenty of empty arena seats and has been losing cash from poor ticket sales. A Michigan show has been re-scheduled. There’s even speculation that the Montreal cancellation was a stunt Jackson pulled less than an hour before showtime, rather than a true health concern - which, if true, may explain her man Jermaine Dupri’s high-profile partying the same night that she was hospitalized.

Rolling Stone magazine confirmed that Janet's tour wasn't having much success, but there have been some exceptions. Eli showed me some YouTube clips where she's playing to a pretty good audience.
There haven't been any shows that haven't been close to being sold out, Bobby. They all look about the same--tons of people except for the seats behind her which they don't sell.
