This lol. I almost never add on Facebook, unless I know the person really well, otherwise I just wait til they add me. Same with Instagram, only follow someone if they follow me first. With Twitter, it's not connected to my Facebook so I barely follow anyone and have almost no followers

For normal friends it goes both ways, but I only text first if I'm asking to hang out or have something to show/tell them.

Very rarely do I text or message somebody first. I'm really bad with that.

Depends on the ratio. If they're texting me first more then I will reach out. But if not I'll ignore or small talk when they do.

If it's a friend or the guy I like then sure, otherwise don't expect me to text, e-mail, or w.e. first.

I once felt the same BUT take this advice - get over it. Be happy to be messaged at all.

I don't receive messages regularly but if I do by my friends (which I rather meet in person if possible) then it's even more important, maybe they ask me when I am able to talk or something.

In a good friendship it should NOT matter who does the first step - you should have that much of understanding and confidence if someone doesn't message you for a while ( they might have their reasons!).
