Of course people think otherwise - personally I enjoy some of the songs quite a lot - but objectively, they are generic.
And okay well, they are dancepop songs. Dancepop just has elements of EDM. It's pretty simply in that sense. The reason I'm bringing this up is because you seem to be trying to claim "EDM" (as a huge umbrella term) in general is going out of fashion, when that's not the case.
I would say the problem is these particular songs are probably too similar to what dominated radio for 2 years, and listeners are bored of this exact sound, they don't want to buy the songs.
