Ten years is a long time and there will be a lot of technology created in that time.
I've been hearing about something called "move-only" music where you can download a song to one folder but you can't copy it or move it to any other location without it getting erased. Sounds controversial but I don't know--it sounds like push is coming to shove in the industry vs. iTunes debate and DRM will actually get tighter and more convoluted. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Maybe they'll find out a way to stop p2p/bit******* but I think the pandora is out of the box now. Then of course, there's still the issue of people buying a cd and then burning copies for friends
No matter what I don't think cd sales will ever fully recover to what they were in the 90's because of legal single-download outlets like iTunes--the industry just needs to accept that loss in profit. I just wish they'd find a way to stop internet piracy/multiple-cd burning. If things continue the way they're going now I think the best selling album of 2018 will be a little over 1 million in sales.
As long as you can HEAR the sound, it can be ripped somehow. The DRM issue will never be solved.

the stars are gonnna branch out to more touring, endorsement deals, perfume- and clothing lieups, and also be more involved in songwriting, since the bulk of the money is from that.

Naw, maybe she'll still be singing, start producing and writing for other artists. Have her own tv shows, perfume line, clothing line, record label, and be married!

2. Madoona: Saggy Vagina on the Loose
and
3. Katy Perry: I Kiss Dogs Now
