I'm usually completely blindsided by them. That being said, I'm the hardest person in the world to offend, so I don't know if I'm being offensive. I don't understand how people get offended by anything at all. If you know your own truths, why be offended by what someone else thinks/has to say? I have incredibly thick skin tbh.
I usually know before I comment that it's going to generate a WP. I usually expect them to come through based on what I want to comment and I decide if I want to go ahead with the comment or word it another way. Sometimes it's worth it.
Then there are other times when I don't expect them. For example: if I was to say "this post is the epitome of misunderstanding" it wouldn't be warned. But I said "this post is the epitome of ignorance" and I was warned. The word ignorant on here is seen as a negative even though it isn't in real life it simply means lack of understanding. - I can't help the way I speak. That's who I am.
I have a vocabulary and I use it and I'm often punished for it.
Oh well.
