With all the hype of this song on ATRL and their non stop bragging about Iggy's huge success, I swear I thought it's already at 4xplatinum. And where the hell is Problem?
It's impressive, but almost all the songs were released in 2013:
Happy - May 2013
Dark Horse - September 2013
All Of Me - August 2013
Talk Dirty - August 2013
Let It Go - October 2013
Turn Down For What - December 2013
Fancy - February 2014
Pompeii - January 2013
The Man - September 2013
Timber - October 2013
LOL at some trying to discredit Dark Horse when it's a HUGE single selling more than 5+ Million overall and STILL Too 10 on radio and Fancy which is still selling +150k every week. I swear some of ya'll are so mad...
Music is just not that good this year. Very few of of amazing quality, not surprised at the stats.
music isn't as eventful this year, as it was in say 2011/2012. A lot of the big stars are on break right now. Rihanna, Gaga, Bruno Mars are all on break.
As well as music as recently went to a different sound from the straight up pop music that the general music pop lovers eaters eat up.
Plus these songs are still going to sell. It's only halfway through the year. We still have PLENTY of time for these sales to increase.
Well this looks nice at least:
Pharrell Williams's “Happy” sold more copies in the first six months (5,633,000) than any other song in digital history.
Train’s "Hey, Soul Sister" sold 3,319,000 copies in the first half of 2010. "E.T." by Katy Perry featuring Kanye West sold 4,120,000 copies in the first half of 2011. “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye featuring Kimbra sold 5,501,000 copies in the first half of 2012. “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Wanz sold 5,558,000 copies in the first half of 2013.
