The creators of the software removed Q2 from their timeline and changed it to 2014; the quarter ends today anyway. They have a private beta out for their long-time customers, however, so there's definite progress having been made. It really shouldn't be too much longer, and I don't think it will take too much time at all for the admins to transition to IPB4 when it actually comes out.

It has to be coming in Q3 then, considering that there is a beta happening right now.

Well, Athens more phrased it as a "preview build" for testing, but yeah, I'd assume the public beta will arrive within a couple months and the release within a couple more.

I swear I cannot wait any longer to get rid of this HORRIBLE mobile site.

There's a preview of IPS4 available here.
It does require you to sign-up, but it's legit and you don't need a license.

Just remember this is IPS4 in its most bare form; ATRLs skin will be much different.

I've never used a site that used RTE before, but I'm really not feeling it; haven't found/heard about an option to disable it yet, but hopefully there will be one. Having to click on individual buttons to code is so inconvenient and takes more time. Best case scenario would be some sort of button that allows you to view the text field as a source (ViewSource ex.) and then revert it to coded text/RTE after you've inserted all the coding you wanted.

I can't wait for @ mentions! I want to be able to randomly @ someone in RT or HQ- say for a fleeting thought or compliment, without needing to open up my wall or friend them for theirs.

There's a toggle option for it in 3.x, so it'll most likely show up in an upcoming beta release.

Not yet, but they're making a lot of progress with the preview build. Our own development begins when there's a version of the beta that we can install.

I'll post some thoughts on the preview build this weekend.
