Having been to Belgium, I was always under the impression that Belgian chocolate > Belgian waffles.
So, I double checked because I wasn't exactly aware of the Belgian and waffle relation and this is what I found:
Quote:
Belgian waffles are a North American type of waffle identified by its larger size, lighter batter and higher grid pattern which forms deep pockets and has larger squares than standard North American waffles. Despite its name, the "Belgian waffle" does not exist in Belgium.

Interesting. Let's hope Obama reads the petition, feels SHAME, and sends extra funds to the education system.
