I just don't see her as passionate about music or musically inclined in general, which may be why (genre wise) she just goes wherever the wind blows when it comes to her releaes

J Lo's voice is not meant for this type of songs, no shade. The ballads are the worst parts of the new album and the element that lets the whole thing down. And they're telling me we should want an album full of 'Let It Be Me'
A.K.A is her best album after her first and Love? so just because it didn't sell, it does not mean its not good. J.Lo has never been a big seller so its not fair to be comparing her sales to Mariah and Beyonce.
A.K.A has her original sound and a mixture of the hip-hop she did in the early 2000s, its what the fans wanted and she delivered. Plus, A.K.A is a million times better than BOTH of Mariah's and Beyonce's latest album. BEYONCE only has 3 good songs in that hyped big seller, so disappointing. I wish it was 4 that had that success.

You cannot be serious...
There are two good songs on AKA, TENS and Booty but the rest is lackluster with poor lyrics and production. The majority have found the album to be very underwhelming
As much as I love her I gotta agree with them. The album is good and I love the songs (not all of them that much) but it's not something that can win over the GP. However, I'm glad she did songs like So good and Never satisfied (besides FL obviously) because they remind me of the old JLO. She wanted to "bring it back to the old days" with this album, but mark my words - next year, we're gonna get a new OTF and album full of songs like that.

Why are people doing JLo like this? They gotta realise she doesn't do it for the metacritic score, or the acclaim or awards, cause she's just not that kind of artist (and has never been). She does it cause she thinks it's fun and gives her a little extra exposure and for the fans she still has, and that's it.
An album for her is a fun side project, she's not trying to get anything out of it so I don't get why people act like she should.
