T-Pain's "Th33 Ringz" in stores November 11!
Quote:
New York, NY – First, he took over the BMI Urban Awards, racking up eight trophies, including “Songwriter of the Year” and “Producer of the Year” honors. A few days later, he stole the show at the MTV Video Music Awards by bringing the circus big-top to the red carpet. If there were any doubts that Grammy winner T-Pain is truly the industry’s ringleader, last week’s headline-making moves have erased them. As the Los Angeles Times boldly declared, “It’s T-Pain’s world.”
Next up is the November 11th release of THR33 RINGZ, his highly anticipated new album on Nappy Boy/Konvict/Jive Records. Leading the charge is breakout single “Can’t Believe It” (featuring Lil Wayne). The song is most increased and currently # 3 on the urban radio chart, and # 5 on the rhythm x-over chart. As the song continues to heat up at radio, its critically acclaimed companion video—directed by Syndrome—is garnering airplay on BET's 106 & Park and MTV's TRL countdowns as well as MTV2, MTV Jams and Fuse.
Among the many highlights on THR33 RINGZ is “Freeze” featuring Chris Brown—an up-tempo jam destined to be the dance floor hit of the year; “Chopped & Screwed” featuring rapper Ludacris—a lyrically clever urban anthem; “Karaoke” featuring DJ Khaled—a personal and controversial declaration to the industry, and “Therapy,” a collaboration with Kanye West.
The Tallahassee, Florida, native burst on scene in 2005 with his debut Rappa Ternt Sanga and the unforgettable singles “I’m Sprung” and “I’m N Luv (Wit A Stripper),” a song that maintains the title of the highest-selling ring tone. T-Pain continued his success with his sophomore effort Epiphany in 2007, which spawned the #1 airplay record of the year, “Buy U a Drank” (featuring Yung Joc) and the ubiquitous #1 hit “Bartender,” and as a producer and featured artist on tracks such as Flo-Rida’s “Low,” Chris Brown’s “Kiss Kiss” and Lil Wayne's “Got Money”
Last year also saw T-Pain record the chart-topping hit “Good Life” with Kanye West, a track that earned him his first Grammy for Best Rap Song and also garnered a BET Award, the latter an event on which he was the most nominated artist of the night.
