Think about who does everyone think are great legends.. Bob Dylan, not a great vocalist , actually can't sing a lick, Mick Jagger, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson., Cher, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Nicks.. What do they have in common?. None of them are considered great vocalist.

I listen to music of the 60's/70's. I was turned on to Carol King "Tapestry" by my uncle and I had that S**t on repeat. I listen to old blues music, afro-Cuban, and Brazilian music too. Old school boy bands, Rap and Hip-Hop. .

I'm not elitist when it comes to music. I appreciate it all. But I will not follow someone that I think is overrated. Because someone can carry a tune, dance and is attractive but their music and has no meaning or purpose. Taylor gives props to those legends before her. Another artist I shall not name does not give respect to Aretha, Gladys, Tina, Diana, and Patti. That's why they diss her.

Received Red, X and Pure Heroine. Red is still the best, even though both X and Pure Heroine are great. Music aside, Red's booklet no doubt is the best, X's booklet is really hard to read, but doesn't matter because I knew the lyrics. Lorde needs more time to create more great music.

I think people forget that a good voice can only take you so far. If you have crappy music it wont do you any good. You can reach legendary status without having the best vocals in the world, but you can't if you just have a great voice and bad/mediocre music.
