I had always been well aware that Queens legendary lead vocalist was an admirer or the Queen of soul however I was unaware he had aired his opinions of her on video, the video bellow is from 1984 and in it Freddie expresses his admiration for Aretha's voice and vocal style and how her tries to incoporate it into his own singing. Aretha would go on to say "I may be the Queen of Soul, But Freddie is the Queen of Queen", it's amazing to see that such legendary artists had a mutual respect for one another
