at the end of Biggie movie, there is a scene when his mom is leaving his funeral, crying and everything, but then she sees his fans mourning on the streets, she realizes how much he meant to them and then she starts smiling, it just makes her feel better
maybe Aaliyah's family need to reach out to the fans too and see how many people she touched, as I said before, Aaliyah was a public person, that was her job, they (family) allowed her to do it, she became a part of people's lives, they can't keep her forever like that

Aaliyah wouldn't want that, maybe the album or the movie (or both) would be some kind of closure? people would stop harassing them and the fans would be satisfied
