Wow, what a mess this eventually turned into.
First, thank you CountryBritney and then hello_world for making sure this rate finished and being prompt with your updates when you could be. You guys both did a great job, and don't take what I'm about to say next to heart, because, believe me, you earned praise for this rate. And a thank you to Gabegabe for making sure, as hard as he could, that I would take part in this rate. I shudder to think what would have happened if I DIDN'T take part.
Now, let's get down to business.
I'll start at the very top: "Brick By Boring Brick" at #1. Nope. Sorry, but nope. I'm not the biggest fan of "Misery Business", but I think it deserved to be #1 ahead of BBBB, let alone the rest of the top 5. It's just not a worthy #1 in my eyes, and I should have rated it lower, really. That top 2 is so underwhelming, compared to what preceded it. That's not even close to what irked me the most, though. The two things that got to me the most: "Hallelujah" not making the top 25 (oh, don't act so shocked.
) and *braces for impact* "Still Into You" nearly making the top 5. I expected a high placing, but #6? Ahead of "Ignorance"? If it had placed ahead of "Decode", I might have nuked this thread.
I guess it could have gone worse, though. "Still Into You" could have been #1. We avoided that, at least!
