In the same way black people took the N word and made it into a cultural term, it seems gays have done the same with the F word. Do you use it? Do you think gay people should feel free to say it to each other? Not in a negative nature of course, but ironically or as a term of endearment.
Never in my life have I used that word, nor do I ever plan to.
I understand the desire to "take it back," much in the same way black people have somewhat reclaimed the n-word, but it's nigh impossible to completely strip it of its homophobic connotations.
Yes I say it with my friends all the time and I'm straight too. I believe that owning a word is BS. If one person coud say it everyone should be able to say it. I actually have a gay friend. He said he was cool with me saying it and I see that as permission to use it whenever I want in front of whoever want, in every circumstance as long as I mean it in a friendly way. Gay people can get married now, homophobia is over. The only people keeping it alive are the gay people wanting to segregate us with words.

Funny how these sentiments are now suddenly reportable when context is exchanged. I see y'all are a bit sensitive. Stop giving the word power!
