Do you think you encounter ignorance and bigotry more so online or in real life? Also, do you think certain social/political issues are exaggerated online or are they actually as serious as they're blogged about?
I work in a grocey store and am a cahsier. I probably encounter the most ignorant people in the world there. Like clearly the signs says BOGO and they STILL ask if its BOGO.... Like really....
I definitely think the world outside of our cyber bubbles isn't quite as bad as what the www claims it is. I mean obviously serious stuff like human trafficking, terrorism etc... But in America specifically, I think we get so caught up in all the bad that we've totally ignored all the progress the majority of Americans have made.
Long story short, I encounter more ignorance and bigotry online than in real life.
I was actually speaking in terms of sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia etc
Do you encounter racists, sexists, homophobes, transphobes and the likes more so online or IRL?
Actually, what I'm really getting at is do you think the world outside of the WWW is more progressive or regressive on these topics? Because online, it's certainly regressive even with all the information, experiences and knowledge being shared. I think the access we have online creates a cyber cloud of nonsense that actually matters very little in the real world.

Ff ain't nobody about to do full assessment at 1:30 in the morning
Other than 'anti white' trend on tumblr and ATRL, or seeing ****** occasionally in a dumb youtube comment, can't really say I see much of it! So online, for sure.

Well I don't see it as 'anti-white' or even unjustified but I will say that no POC I've ever met and/or befriended has ever been as serious about racism or white people as POC online are.
