Skins is a British teen drama that follows the lives of a group of teenagers in Bristol, South West England, through the two years of sixth form. Its controversial storylines have explored issues such as dysfunctional families, mental illness (such as eating disorders and bipolar disorder), adolescent sexuality, substance abuse, death and bullying. The show was created by father-and-son television writers Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain for Company Pictures,[1] and premiered on E4 on 25 January 2007.[2] The show went on to be a critical success as well as a ratings winner within its target demographic. Over its initial six-year run, Skins proved to be atypical of ongoing drama series in that it replaced its primary cast every two years. Plans for a film spin-off were first discussed in 2009, but ultimately did not come to fruition. Instead, a specially-commissioned seventh and final series of the show was broadcast in 2013, featuring some of the cast from its 2007–10 run.[3] The show's name comes from the rolling papers known as "skins".
The first and flawless iconic season 1
The second generation
The 3rd generation
I mean do y'all know any other teen drama that was as real as this? Most of the actors that were on the show were inexperienced giving it more realism. Ugh I just finished the 6th season on Monday why did it have to end
What was your favorite season/characters? I've been dying to discuss it but I was in banland I cant believe I barely watched it and always paid it dust.
Girl I had some days off and I've always see Netflix saying I should watch it based on stuff I've watched and I started by checking it out I thought It'd be **** and I started watching and got hooked. I finished all 6 seasons in 4 weeks I cant believe I paid it dust all these years.
The First Generation was absolutely godly and became my life, they were almost my friends. The deep obsession with this show I had nnn
The second generation I finished it wasn't bad, but nothing really that special.
The third generation was just.... BAD
I really loved the first and second generation a lot. the second one wasn't as good as the first but it was still great. I didn't even bother watching the third
