Her change in management doesn't really affect her label situation. She'll still be moving to a different label, but she won't necessarily be signing with Capitol Records just because Katy is signed with them (if that's what you're wondering). Her new management team will handle promotion, touring, etc. while her label will handle albums, singles, etc. And she still needs to fulfill her contract with HWR before she's allowed to switch labels despite signing with a new management company because her label contract and her management contract are completely different things.

platinum isn't even that much. tons of songs go platinum

and selena just doesn't have enough big hits to make a greatest hits album. she's only had 2 songs sell more than 2 million. people like lady gaga, katy perry, taylor swift, justin timberlake, maroon 5, and rihanna have way more than that and some of them have had longer careers than her and they haven't released greatest hits albums yet, why is she?

If you had cared to read the article or basically ANY of the posts in this thread, you would know that she's doing it to fulfill her contract with HWR as quickly as possible so that she can sign with a major label.

She can release a "Best Of" or "Singles Collection" with 2 or 3 new songs and it'll be a full release.

I'll buy it anyway for the new songs.
