Kristen Stewart has apparently been dropped from the Snow White movie series.
The actress was expected to be returning to the franchise for Snow White and the Huntsman 2, but the sequel will now be a spinoff - The Huntsman - with Frank Darabont in line to direct, The Hollywood Reporter says.
Following the release of the first film in 2012, Stewart was reported to have had an affair with director Rupert Sanders. Studio Universal denied that Stewart was exiting the franchise at the time.
In The Huntsman, Chris Hemsworth is returning to play the title role, alongside Charlize Theron as the villain.
The fact that she didn't drop out herself but was actually talking about how she was excited to do SW2 always bothered me. It's like going back to the scene of the crime in a sense.
