- St. Vincent
- Sharon Van Etten - Are We There
- Sun Kil Moon - Benji
- The War on Drugs - Lost In The Dream
- Swans - To Be Kind
- White Lung - Deep Fantasy
- Beyoncé - BEYONCÉ
Quote:
eyoncé’s 4 downplayed radio ready singles in favor of tracks intended to form a cohesive whole. It didn’t exactly work, but the album was terrific nevertheless. BEYONCÉ contains even fewer potential chart-toppers (the magnificent power ballad “XO” and album highlight “Drunk In Love” aside). And yet it achieves the superb unity of mood and sound Mrs. Carter was grasping for with her 2011 release. Without reading the credits, you’d never know a lengthy roster of songwriters, co-producers, additional producers, and lesser collaborators all had their hands in the creation of the year’s best pop album

- Tune-Yards - Nikki Nack
- Perfect ***** - Say Yes To Love
- Wild Beasts - Present Tense
- Hundred Waters - The Moon Rang Out Like A Bell
- Todd Terje - It’s Album Time
- Mac DeMarco - Salad Days
- Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence
Quote:
Ultraviolence, a collection of mid-century ballads spiked with blues-rock, is a stunning accomplishment. Its eleven songs whimper and howl, soothe and taunt, hypnotize and thrill. Born to Die’s worst features – basically anything that labored to make it sound “current” – have been thrown into the ash heap. Del Rey and the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach (the album’s main producer) complete the logical trajectory laid out by “Video Games,” “Ride,” and “Young and Beautiful” and mercifully ignore everything in between

wow and they said BEYONCÉ's acclaim was based on initial hype and here we are 6 months later and it is still getting praised, making mid-year lists and being extolled as the year's best pop album.

I've only heard a handful of these, but I think YG's My Krazy Life deserves higher than #35.
At least he got a spot, though.

Am I the only one who doesn't like this?
Overall it's a nice list, some great albums, some good albums and some I've never heard of

I don't know much about algeba but I know December 13, 2013 is not 2014.
