I had been saying for awhile that I wish he would get better management than the Clancys. While, I like the Clancys, I feel like Frank has outgrown Odd Future and them as his managers. It seems like they put all their stock into Tyler and, let's be real, the ball got dropped with Channel Orange. I am not sure if it was Frank's doing or his management, but, the album could have been a whole lot bigger than what it actually was, I think this move is for the absolute best, if the news is true.

He was in desperate need of better management. The promotional side of things and the single campaigns were terrible. This era I'm definitely hoping for better music videos too. 'Pyramids' was the only decent music video in my opinion and even then they completely savaged the song.

I hope the management shake up doesn't affect the album's release date. I wanted it in July/August.

No lie, I was so satisfied with Channel Orange i'm not rushing him for a new album. He can take his time.

Happy 2 year anniversary of his linear notes.

I always got the vibe that Frank didn't want to do too much promo. Maybe his management was pushing him to do more.

To be fair, I don't care about promo in terms of radio appearances and tv performances. As long as he delivers a stellar album in the same league as CO, I'm satisfied. But music videos sometimes enhance songs even more and Frank's music is very poetic and full of imagery. Take Pyramids for example - imagine an epic video set in Egypt with REAL pyramids, camels, desert, cleopatra, tombs. Smash.

But, you know, instead we were given a video that didn't really relate to the song at all.

Also: I'm really worried we won't be getting the album this summer. His last album was the soundtrack to my time in the Netherlands. I'm going back there again soon so want his new album to soundtrack that.

I know that whenever the album drops, it's gonna be great. But I still need it in my life. Channel Orange and NU need to be rested on my iTunes for a bit.

Going crazy without new material. I know a 2+ year wait is pretty standard for an album and I only recently got into his old old stuff but I love him so much. channel ORANGE is now my 2nd fave album of all time and I can't stop thinking about how much this new album is going to slay me. I feel like I'm obsessing over him lately I'm constantly perched waiting for some news. My thirst for this man and his music

Wonder if Frank is going to pull (what people like to call) "a Beyonce" and release the album unexpectedly. Being in the Beyonce/Kanye/JayZ/Andre etc circle, he'll probably have enough hype to pull it off.

Talking of Beyonce, I remember when my friend was gushing over her new album at Christmas. I was like "listen to Channel Orange; Frank did it first".
