Aw. She is pretty, great personality, vocals of which your faves are jealous, connections, moves, body, everything. For some reason she just doesn't connect to the GP. Hopefully Your Love will smash and she gets the success she deserves.

I doubt any label is gonna invest that much in those top notch writers and producers she worked with over the years, and just see the material shelved.

Yeah, I believe she actually spent her own money just to make the Killer Love tour happen because the label wasn't going to. And she also worked on this new album without a label (she was already dropped by Interscope) which means she must have been paying for everything herself. Now she's signed with RCA who will be releasing the said album.

I don't think she means she literally started and stopped five albums, just that she has five albums worth of unreleased material
Still though

She's so uber talented in singing, dancing, and stage presence that its a shame she keeps getting thing scrapped. If only she would have been able to release "Just Say Yes" , she would have been in a totally different place right now

do you really think that Nicole is the one who didn't want to release the material? there are so many artists with multiple pushbacks (Mariah, J.LO for example) obviously that's the label's decision. Okay they want the hit but it's beyond me how they can't realize that these pushbacks are making things worse, the audience's slowly losing interest and they're just stopping care, and when the artist finally release the single which screams hit it's too late (perfect example: Ciara's Overdose and Work) instead of just pushing and keep releasing singles they just give up, Iggy is perfect example how to get out of this situation
the thing with Nicole is that her team SUCK and I mean really SUCK! they don't know how to market her, she sold 7 mln copies of PCD, she got IT, and please don't tell me it was because of the other girls LMAO Nicole was THE VOICE, THE FACE and the everything in The Pussycat dolls, people like the songs because of her, the difference between PCD era and her solo career (and Doll domination era) is that her material sucked (+ promotion) Nicole needs someone who will guide her and do some research, see what people want from her (which are pop/urban songs with vocals, no to so hard to figure it out) I like most of her solo songs, I really do but really they're trash, her songs are basic, dated, cheap okay sometimes they're catchy but overall they're bad, Your Love is a step in the right direction ( it sounds current and fresh) and after readying her interview with DigitalSpy looks like she finally got it and she figured out her sound, thank God

with PCD there were people managing the whole group, they had someone to manage the production, the singles, the costumes. EVERYTHING.
but when Nicole went solo, she was lost. She (along with her incapable team) had more creative input but unfortunately IMO, Nicole doesn't really have "the ears" for hits. the production and the choreo of her live performances (except for Poison XFactor 2009) also aren't that spectacular compared to PCD. Basically everything was a downgrade when she let go of her PCD team.

On the difficulty of saying goodbye to songs she's worked on, she explained: "I've been doing this for how many years now? And do you know how many songs I wanted to put out that never came out? I'm used to it.
"In fact, I'm very protective of my babies, so now if they're not ready and I know people might not quite get it, yeah, I guess I do hold them close to me and say it's just not the right time for them. I think a lot of artists are like that."

I am a fan since 2005 and Nicole is partly the reason her material never got out. It's not all the labels fault in this case. Keri Hilson, Natalia Kills etc. all have been in the same position as hers and they all got the chance to release their albums in the end. And even released a follow up on that label aswell. I agree pushbacks make it even worse, but it was def. a mix between mistakes made by Nicole and Interscope.
Also you knwo she is at her 2nd team, right? Her first team that she had between 2006 - 2010 was the same team she had during her days as leadsinger of PCD. late 2010 - present, she has got a deal with the management team of Larry Rudolph, who manages Britney and Miley Cyrus. You can't tell me that two management teams were stupid enought to make the same kind of mistakes. Something went wrong behind the scenes and also in this case it was probably a mixture between Nicole and her teams.
All by all, I love Nicole, she is my favourite singer and I love your reply, but it is not that simple like you think it is.

5 albums? I thought she scrapped only 3
This is what happens when a record label has too little control over their artists. Why to scrap the whole ****ing album just because the first single was received badly by the GP? Even if the first single was much alike the whole material and the GP wouldn't like it, then she could record four more catchy, generic songs to be released as singles. Good singles would make people buy the whole album.
This is what she did after the failure of WUL - she released cheesy Baby Love and the GP enjoyed it. If she had continued that instead of releasing weak "Beyonce-much" singles, I bet that Her Name Is Nicole would have been released. Her career would be in a totally different place now.

To other artists right? I know some of the tracks Keke recorded while she was with Interscope were given to Jessica Sanchez.

Maybe at one point after she recorded them, but she doesn't want to release them anymore:

It must be quite hard working on an entire album just to let it go?

"We don't just record 12 songs, we have a catalog of songs. I remember I was in Ne-Yo's catalog once and was like, 'What is this song - this is beautiful. This song is epic'. I don't know if they'll ever see the light of day. Who knows - maybe they'll go to other artists?"

ok I got you
seems like it's one big misunderstanding between Nicole and her label, Nicole didn't want to release her songs but did she really have a choice like that? The label can't force her to do it? they both signed a contract, so can't they just tell her 'ok Nicole it's enough we want the album to be out' I just don't get it, even if the song weren't good enough, the label should have take control
artist like Nicole clearly NEED some guidance, to tell her which direction she should go etc. you can be so talented but it doesn't mean you know the business, and it doesn't make you a puppet IMO, Nicole and the label have the same goal: make mainstream music, Nicole wants to be a popstar, it's not like Nic is some kind of indie artist who needs to fight for her own vision you know
anyway, I hope this time everything will be fine, I love her and always will, it's just so frustrating that all the talent goes to waste somehow and only because she just has the wrong team

I think her label took control actually during the HNIN era, and just choose the easy mney A.K.A. PCD. I think Nicole choose to also put her own money in the recording sessions after that, to have more control about her own material. So I think that is when it became a sort of battle to get the stuff out.
I agree wih you that she needs guidance, I have been saying that for years now. Nicole clearly needs a stop sign and someone who can say "this is good, we have enough, just put it out". Every time she finished a record, she began recording soon after and changed the record some more.
