After a few months, I have to say... I'm sorry, but Kiss Me Once was so mediocre after the gloriousness that was Aphrodite...

Yep exactly how I feel. The album gets a little stale and boring after multiple listens.

I'd wanna start afresh as well after how this era has gone.

Each to their own, I guess That's how I felt with Aphrodite (mostly because of the samey songs), whereas KMO is still on constant repeat for me.
