This. Also the UK stations don't even take requests and most of the airplay power is down to 2 big national stations.

As long as they keep radio out of it.

Streams are much closer to sales in terms of immediate consumer data. Airplay CAN reflect requests, but there's so much more going on in the process that it can't truly act as an accurate measurement of current popularity.

Eh, not too keen on adding streams to certifications, but makes sense I suppose.

There's only 2 big stations in the UK, adding Airplay when those two stations already control the charts with what they add to their playlists would be a disaster.

Hopefully this may stop these boring quick lil single #1 debuts every week.

Rihanna already has almost 90.000.000 streams in the UK alone... and that counting that Unapologetic was only available to stream 10 MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.

So.... 100 streams = 1 copy sold.

1.000.000 streams = 1000 copies sold.
