I feel like the word is used so loosely now .. Like saying you are Instagram Twitter YouTube famous is just cringeworthy and downright embarrassing IMO. Do you agree ??
Yes. I agree. + that type of fame is fickle and if you don't take advantage of it while you have it and capitalize, you will just fade. I don't understand why (as much as I dislike them) these Vine kids don't use their fame for good and build empires for themselves off of it like some of the older YouTubers do.

I agree use that as a platform and actually become famous worth being proud of . Like I should get a vine and see if I can get famous
Hmmm being famous on social media is nothing special unless you're actually talented. If you're one of those bloggers or twitter users that is just talking about what everyone else is talking about you're nothing special. If you're a musician that does great music and art and have a solid fan-base in social media then the word ''fame'' is worth applying.
TBH I don't think we use the word "famous" too loosely, just that it's meaning has changed. Pre-internet the only famous people (apart from a few notorious criminals and various people entangled in global events) were people who were really accomplished and skilled at their craft, now it's whomever can amass the most attention for whatever reason. Sex tapes, scandals, nudes, oversharing etc. Being "famous" is not a respectable thing in the slightest.
The problem is that those people who are YT/Insta//Twitter famous end up getting the recognition everywhere. Like everyone who's insta famous here gets invited EVERYWHERE. It pisses me off at times because it feeds to the ego and makes them think it will make them money...
But LITERALLY what Andy and Mariah quoted is true, this is the future and everyone is getting their 15 minutes of fame.
And yes I agree . You can get famous by just making a vine . I feel bad for real celebrities because they had to work hard and now it is so easy to get famous
