So I am off to Sunny Beach, Bulgaria with a group of friends, in exactly a week (30th June) and I am wondering what are your opinions and experiences of the place, what I should look out for, the best parts ect...

It's very western European just don't go too far inland. That's real Eastern European and potentially dangerous.

LOL sorry but Eastern Europe isn't dangerous . I was grown my whole life in Italy and Greece and it's nothing like that, if not, it's some of the best parts of Europe:

Some of the nicest people I've known tbh. I mean, every country has the gangs and crimes and all of that, but I particularly haven't experienced anything like that in Europe when I've lived...

America on the other hand is way different

To the OP, I don't think you'll have enough time to explore the whole country and find the "aggressive" parts (although there are douchebags anywhere lol) but I think you should most definitely not miss Sofia, its capital, and several monuments like the Fisherman Monument, Bachkovo Monastery etc. etc. I mean you'll be fine as long as you constantly ask people what and where you are, it would be even better if you had a tour guide.

And while you're at it, try some good European D.
