Honestly women don't really have a place as sportscasters, mostly because nobody listens to them. I feel like the sports channels hire them to not appear as sexist, not because they're good.

Men just seem more natural doing it and they voice their personal opinions much, much more, but I've seen some women sportscasters that were good.
