I love this album, I think it will be the soundtrack of my summer.
The only song I don't use is Voices in the Halls. I absolutely love Teenager In Love, Living in Another World, Text Me In the Morning, Love In the 21st Century, First Things First, Sleeping With a Friend, and I Love You (But I Hate Your Friends).
I got a signed poster with my pre-order, it's so nice! It's really big and all their signatures are pretty.
I really grew to love this album!! I never really fancied Picture Show, and I don't know why. But I love this album a lot! A lot of bops and I really hope it'll do well. Habits > Pop Psychology > Picture Show
I can't believe I forgot to listen. Picture Show is amazing, I have the whole album and still use it. Not sure how I feel about this one. I bop to Sleeping With A Friend but its not as good as their past 2 leads.
In the CD booklets for both albums, I noticed something peculiar about the songwriting credits.
All the music is credited to Neon Trees, while all the lyrics and melodies are credited to Tyler Glenn.
How can that be? How can the lead singer of a band come up with lyrics AND melodies at the same time?
Aren't melodies part of the actual music itself (along with harmonies, rhythms, riffs, and chord progressions)? If an entire band is credited for all the musical composition, shouldn't the entire band be coming up with the melodies as well during the songwriting process?
