It seems pretty cool, the 3D/Dynamic Perspective thing is cute, but I feel like it would report me to Amazon every time I tried to put an illegally downloaded MP3 in there.
I think it's nice for the specs. The fact they do not have the Google Play Store will be a problem at first.
As long as they have a strong App developer out reach to ensure that are submitting apps to their stores as well as Google Plays this should boil over in a year or so.

It cannot include that equal sign (ATRL doesn't always parse the URL right if you use https in your link).

I have mixed feelings about this. But the consumers will like it because of the lock screen, MayDay feature and such. But however it's only exclusive to AT&T. The iPhone was only exclusive to AT&T at first but it started spreading to other carriers. So maybe Amazon will do the same if they have a updated edition next year or in 4? Well if your a Amazon-er person then go with this. I heard you get Prime with this also.
EDIT: Oh and the Amazon App Store - Most people are used to Google Play and the Apple App Store. But I'm not familiar with the Amazon App Store so I can't really judge. They will persuade every consumer to buy this.
