The bottom line is that Bey is still miles ahead Prism with less promo and and 1 top 2 hit. Even with the album being released months later. You can spin it anyway you'd like doll.

I'm not exactly sure as how Beyoncé is "miles ahead" of PRISM when the PRISM era has shifted massive single sales in addition to the album. I don't understand why people choose to neglect that.

The purpose of the single is to sell the album. The fact that Beyoncé is outselling Katy without the need of a smash hit showcases her starpower.
