this is discussing WORLDWIDE figures. Madonnas album is one of the top five selling albums of the year worldwide, and 4 Minutes is also one of the biggest singles of the year. Yes give it 2 me did not do as well as 4 minutes, but Mariah has not had much success this year outside of the US (her last two singles bombed everywhere and the the sales of Touch My Body were most likely inflated in the US just so she could have a number one...)
