Almost none of the artisits you guys mentioned match the Weeknd's sound IMO.
He's an Alternative-ish artist plus the VP is logically talking about someone from his own label.
So the only logical choice to me would be Lorde. On the other hand if he's talking about someone not necessarily from his label then Lana would be the obvious choice.
