It should be called Resident Evil: Ascension, to fit with the other titles. The Final Chapter looks so out of place, and what if the studio decides they want to extend it, since Hollywood is so desperate for franchises that go on forever?

The end of Alice's character does not mean "death."

Maybe. Maybe not. But I'd like to believe that it could be a possibility. She does die a lot in the franchise. She dies in Apocalypse. She dies as a clone in Extinction. She nearly died in Afterlife. She could've died in Retribution (thanks possessed Jill for that one).

I don't know what Paul has in idea for what to do with her character, but he did say, "Alice has no purpose after Umbrella is taking down. It'll be the end of her character."

Maybe he means she'll retire and Chris/Leon/Claire and Jill Valentine will shine, in counterpart, with the actual game storyline. But yet again, the T-Virus has to somehow come back and over take the world again
