At approximately 10:15 am CDT Thursday morning, a mid Missouri school just 30 miles southwest of Jefferson City, went under lock down as it was searched for illegal drugs such as marijuana and cocaine. A tip was given to the school's office early that morning and officers put the school on lock down as every locker was searched for the drugs. The drugs were found about 15 minutes into the investigation in a student's locker. The student was 15 years old and in eight grade. The drug found was marijuana. It is said that the student had had the drug since Monday, and the student who tipped off the office has known since then. Class resumed as normal for the rest of the day.

Yes, that's right, it was MY SCHOOL! I was in gym down in the weight room when over the intercom, our principal stated that we were under a Code Yellow. We had to go in the locker room and just sit there. I thought at first it was a drill, but then it lasted into the next hour, which the school would never let happen. I knew then it was real. I thought it was an intruder with a gun. I was scarred to death. And the teachers knew the whole time.
Here I was scared shitless that our town might be added to a list that included schools like Columbine and Virginia Tech, and the teacher's knew the whole time they were searching for dugs and the neglected to tell us! I think we had some right to know. I mean, the whole time I felt like I was going to throw up and **** my pants. Well, it's all over now.
