This bad and objective reporting. The article does not address her early years as a dancer and association with P. Diddy. The P. Diddy association and his music contacts that got her a singing career. Initially she was a dancer on TV. Her singing ability has always been questioned. The critics have always been not very enthusiastic about her singing. The last cd I purchased a few years ago had poor singing. It flopped hard.
They just shouldn't have released the album after I Luh Ya Papi and First Love. Like it's obvious they were aiming for hits but it didn't work out (obviously cos both songs are tragic)...so they should've tried again before the album.

I mean, J.Lo is ok and I'm no hater, but she only has "longevity" or "consistency" in the sense that she just kept going and recording despite being past her peak in popularity (which is admirable in its own way). Like, it got to the point where she was dropped by her own label. Her music career is spotty tbh, and there's no shame in that, she's a ~fighter. I don't know what we have to pretend otherwise?

I agree that J.Lo has had an admirable run, with nothing to be ashamed of overall, but there's no need to sugar coat things.
