Are you referring to Japan's growing problem of twenty something's not wanting to have children and their senior citizens booming in size, thus making the lack of children in Japan a huge issue?
Are you sure that whatever you've heard wasn't a discussion about euthanasia? I've never heard anything particularly newsworthy about "youth in Asia" and their in packed. They're youths like everywhere else.

If not, when you hear people saying "Youth in Asia" they're talking about Euthanasia, which is pronounced "Youth in Asia."
There's no social discussion concerning Asian teenagers. It's concerning Euthanasia, which is medically-assisted suicides. Like putting down a dog or a cat, but with humans. The legalisation of euthanasia is being debated around the world, particularly to assist the deaths of people in serious amounts of pain and suffering from incurable diseases and the late-stages of HIV/AIDS, cancer, etc.
