There was a drought of female pop stars in the market at that time. Macklemore and Robin Thicke had been dominating. And it was right before Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Beyonce all stepped in the ring.

Stars Dance was a very good pop album with lots of potential hits. No other song stood out sonically like Come & Get It did because a lot of tracks did conform to the pop-EDM sound. However, songs like the title track Stars Dance do bring something else to the table. It's very catchy, with a dubstep-esque vibe and is worth a listen if you're interested.

The drums are tablas and the "chanting" sounds like some mumbling in an Indian language. There's nothing "tribal" about either.
