Forgive me for actually caring about schoolwork.
Because of You - This, probably, would have made my top four, if I did one for Kelly. Her most respectable ballad, and, probably, one of those songs that will wind up being timeless. Not my favorite of the week, but still very nice.
Flat on the Floor - I'm not really feeling it. I'll be the first to admit that Carrie has a great voice, but I'm just not a fan of the current country scene. That's not really Carrie's fault, but it's the truth.
Mushaboom - One of the most intriguing songs of the week, and, really, the whole competition. Some won't like it, and that's understandable, but I feel it, actually, more than I did "1234", for sure.
Viva la Vida - A gorgeous song, which, I will readily admit, was on my top four. It was a tough choice, but, since Bart was SO anti-"Fix You"(bastard), I decided to go with "Viva la Vida" instead. Any qualms I had about this song went away the moment I first listened to the chorus, which is one of the most glorious and beautiful things I've heard in a song in a long time. This is not a song that will win over the anti-Coldplay crowd, but it sure as hell won me over.
Doomsday - Hands down, my favorite song of the week, and one of the best songs of last year. And I will tell you this right now: If you guys like THIS song, wait until "The Theft" appears. That song makes this song look weak, in comparison.
Gypsy Woman - This was my #2. Yeah, I did a top four for Duff and not for Kelly. Sue me.

This is a very interesting song, one that I would have never expected from Duff even three years ago. I dig the beat, and I think that her vocals work very well within the song.
Desperation - This is a poor representation of Miranda Lambert, if you ask me. "Kerosene" is much more interesting and fun, though, I would assume, that's in the top three, though we'll never know, since this song guarantees that she doesn't have a chance to make it further.
Izzo - How could anyone hate this song? I mean, ****ing really. This is greatness.
Dancing Shoes - This is ****ing greatness, just like the Monkeys themselves. I really need to check out more of their stuff than I have, because I can tell that I'm going to love *everything*.
Smile - A song that took over my world two years ago. I like other Lily songs more now, but this is the one that introduced everyone to the glory that is Lily Allen, so it definitely has this going for her, and it's still the sweetest-sounding song she's ever made, even if it's really not.
Love Is Dead - First of all, the video is so freaking weird, to me. Anyway, the song. I'm kind of agreeing with Mr. Poison ***** on this one. The verses sound...well, alright, but the chorus is ****ing BAD. Just...terrible. The other two "down" songs this week just didn't interest me that much; this song legitimately sucks.
