Only a few times -- but it was after back-and-forth replies with people justifying stupid choices. When you are put into a role like that, it is hard to avoid being arbitrary (which is ultimately why I left; it stopped being about guidelines and suggestions and more about the personal preferences of the other moderators, and I became frustrated) but I like to think I was particularly skilled at separating "what I would do" from "what this person did." When it boils down, as long as they hit on the required things, it should be approved, end of story.
There was a person who was trying to upload a really basic box house, and that is against the rules. I patiently told them something along the lines of "Hey, you have a great, shell, but we don't allow box houses: if you add a few extra rooms on this would be really great!" to which they got angry, and the whole "You don't get it!" argument started rolling, then the insults, which ended with me losing my temper (which I shouldn't have done) and removing the post completely, telling them to look at the stuff that is approved on site, then at their ugly house, and how they thought their **** would even stand up to the rest of the material. It was really mean of me, but, she started it.
