Hmmmm well I'm glad I left with Spitfire since that is probably the most honest song I've ever written about MYSELF. I've never claimed to be this fabulous songwriter. I only joined because it looked good fun. So, in retrospect, I'm satisfied with how far I've gone in this tournament. I have even surprised myself along the way. I've definitely grown, as a person, and my songwriting abilities have flourished. There may have been a few bumps in the road, here and there. However, that has never stopped me. Okay, maybe once or twice. Anyways good luck you guys You'll need it Btw I'll make sure to do even better in PLATINUM HIT 6, cannot even wait
You had a great run for a novice, sis*. We'll miss you. Please stick around!
This is it, the final five! You five are the strongest writers this season and I hope that you take that into account! You've been out impossible odds to make it this far, and now the platinum record is only a few steps away! This will be one of the toughest challenges you'll have to face…
If there is one thing I know about is that it's never easy to write to a laid out instrumental by some producer. You have to appease to their standards, you have to match different melodies against the ones already in the instrumental, and it's almost NEVER the style you're used to. Well, two out of those three things is true this challenge.
Today, you'll be given a choice out of 15 different homemade instrumentals to write your next song to. These are either instrumentals specifically ladened to the challenge, or instrumentals even I had a tough time writing to.
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it (YOU BETTA!!! ), is to write your entire song out based on the instrumental you choose. But here's the catch, you will be recording, in any way possible, your hook and one of your verses… I don't care if it's the bridge, I don't care if it's a pre-chorus, but you must record the hook and one of those verses.
Now that is a minimum; should you choose, you are free to record up to the entire song if you want. This could be your first step into making a hit song and you don't even know it! This will not only test your matching skills, but it will also test your musicality! We could be making history this season!
Oh, Nait, I think you misunderstood. I didn't have internet this weekend and then I don't have internet from the 29th on, but every day in between then I have internet and it works fine. I was stuck on mobile this weekend, where collapse tags don't work. (I won't even have mobile after the 29th though!)
This will be interesting for me because I've never written over a beat before. I always write either with my guitar or piano. The 3 I've narrowed it down to are the first one, the pop/rock one, and the indie one. I'm really feeling the indie one though
Is this why you were asking us our favorite genres a few days ago? And where did you get these from?
My Blackout era (return of Love Puppy) is over and so is my Circus era (introduction of Hate Puppy). Anyhow I wasn't going to use the indie one. I was thinking Japonesque would be good. My voice has sounded extra Frank Sinatra lately so I figured it would be a good fit.
EDIT: Frank Sinatra thing was a joke.
I'm probably going to add a lot of faux-soul to my voice if I record Japonesque. I know it's not a soul track but I think it will be more interesting than using my normal voice. Nait, do I have to keep the song title the same?
Also, how on Earth is that indie instrumental indie? It's a total pop song.

It's more folk pop than indie, but whatevs, I like it

And I didn't say it was bad!
I can't believe a sixth season of this game will probably happen before the end of this year. We've come so far.
I wonder who will host and judge. We've been trying not to have any repeating hosts so the game is always changing, and by the time the next season starts Nait and I will both probably be gone from ATRL. And yes, I see you hungrily eyeing this paragraph, Fefe. You ain't slick.
