This thread is my favorite one at the moment.

I'm reading Hollow City (Miss Peregrine's #2), and it's already much better than the first book. The action and everything... so suspenseful. Plus, the photographs are really cool and some are really creepy.

A great read. The final chapters are so cinematic, you can literally envisage them as movie scenes as you're reading. I personally feel like the novelty of the photos wears off entirely in Hollow City as they don't really contribute much/anything to the story like they did in the first book. Still it's awesome though and sets up the story perfectly for the third novel which won't be out for so long

The first book was amazing, and it was so detailed. And yes, so cinematic. It's not a scary kind of story as the covers and photos would suggest, but the action is just amazing. I do agree that the photos in Hollow City doesn't really contribute much, but I do love to see the photos still. It's quite nice that there are a lot more photos in there too.

I really really really hate Enoch tho. Seriously. I can't wait to finish this one.

Currently reading Lois Lowry's The Giver. A modern classic that's been high on my TBR for ages but I've just never gotten round to reading it. About 10% in so far and really intrigued by it. Feels kinda like what Divergent tried but kinda failed to do.

Just finished to kill a mocking bird. And even though it's fantastic, I feel it's been overrated.

I can't believe most of y'all haven't read The Count of Monte Cristo, it's the only book I've ever read that has kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, every word and page. Alexandre Dumas
Revenge, Breaking Bad e.t.c all owe the book it's existence as well as the majority of soap operas.

I'm currently reading TFIOS just to bandwagon a bit but wth I'm a sucker for tearjerkers ala Love Story by Erich Segal

Anyway can someone recommend me books to read?I'm not particularly fond of sci-fi's that much but I could give it a try. I prefer some realism in books to read atm...I could go for both suspense thrillers and heartwarming ones too

Just get ready for TFIOS. It's really an amazing story. I hate that it's so popular, but really, I don't give a damn because it's so good. That's the thing about TFIOS. It demands to be read.

If you like some cute light reads, there's Anna and The French Kiss (really cute), and Attachments (by Rainbow Rowell). For tearjerkers... A Walk To Remember is a good one. You can also read Everyday (by David Levithan) and 13 Reasons Why (Jay Asher).

I just realized I'm into a lot of YA Not much into dystopian themes tho, but I do love some adult novels too.

Trying to figure out what to read next since I just finished Hollow City (UGH. CLIFFHANGER).

I finished TFIOS last night. Hmmmm...It was okay. My favorite chapter was the prefuneral which was mentioned a couple of posts ago. I love Isaac and Augustus I'd be pressed if it was not included in the movie

I'm currently reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson, and it's quite good so far. I'm liking David Levithan's writing more tho than John Green's on this one.

Oh yesss I loved 13RW It's so mysterious and exciting. The ending was very graphic, and it was sad.

13RW is amazing. I need to re-read it at some point. I like Mockingjay but I felt Prim dying defeated the purpose of Katniss ever volunteering in THG
