That one thread got me thinking about this documentary I watched recently ( forgot what it was called) but these group of African boys get the chance to come to America and live here for a while. Before they leave, their tribe leader tells them to not be like the people in the US with the sagging pants, bling, etc.
This will probably get closed fast but I just wanted to see what people that are actually from Africa think about black Americans, because I've visited some of the island countries and it is a complete 360 to what I see here in the US
Secondly, you are what your passport says you are. If those 'black Americans' carry a USA passport then they're American.
Personally and as someone who's seen LOTS of arabs go to the US/Canada and disown their country/origins and heritage, I have no respect for people who would do what's in the OP UNLESS their passport is of that of the new country.
My dad has the worst opinion of black americans. He thinks they're all lazy, don't care about school, and are troublemakers. I don't have such a harsh opinion of them though. I think of all Americans the same way, regardless of skin color.
