I was only in first grade, but I can still remember it vividly. I actually never saw the buildings themselves. I was in school in Missouri while it was happening. School of course was released early. But by that time, the buildings had already fallen to the ground. Last night on the History Channel they had a special that was compiled of different home videos, pictures, and audio taken during the event and I watched the whole thing and it was like seeing it for the first time. The scene I will remember forever is when the two girls are in their dorm room and one is videotaping and they are watching the North Tower burn and then an explosion and the camera shift over to a huge ball of fire coming out of the South Tower and the girls started screaming like hell and it instantly hit them it was terrorists. It was definitely not an accident. And after watching the video a couple of times, you could tell that if it wasn't for the plane hitting the South Tower in the middle, both of the towers would still be standing. There was just too much weight for the South Tower and the whole vibration and pieces of it hitting the North Tower, it made it collapse. They didn't have any videos of the Pentagon, though. Thank God those passengers of United 97 were able to do what they did and stop the plane before it hit the White House or the Statue of Liberty (we still don't know where it was headed). They risked their own lives for millions of other.
