And you're not supposed to do much with a baby's hair, especially a black baby's hair in the first ****ing place if you want it to grow healthy and full. The scalp hasn't even fully closed and people are putting bows and barrettes in the hair. Pulling the hair follicles to give the baby a ponytail and wonder why their child has no hair by the time they reach the 3rd grade.
Blue has seen half the world. And fortunately, she won't grow up to be some vapid self centered woman, because her mother didn't force beauty standards on her.
