Your mothers and brothers and whoever are very specific cases of success in America without a degree. For instance, my mother is the breadwinner in my family and makes enough for us to live VERY comfortably without adding in my father's contributions as a teacher, where he makes substantially less than her. My mother didn't go to college, but my mother also worked we way up from a job that she got 20+ years ago. A job that, today, would likely require a college degree. So referencing your parents or people from other generations that acquired jobs when it was much easier to do so is pointless.
THIS ISN'T EVEN ABOUT JOBS THO. I could get any job, it's still going to take me a while to pay back my student loans. Why? Because no one advises an 18 year old going to college on what it means to take out a loan with an extremely high interest rate. What the federal government is doing to high school graduates is almost criminal.. they're entrapping these poor kids into YEARS of debt and doing very little on the job creation front or in the area of raising wages.
Bottom line you can flaunt your easy time finding a job or lack of education all you want to, but that's not what this thread is about. This is about how the Republicans of America are using their power to make it harder for college graduates to ever pull themselves out of debt when it's already hard enough as it stands. POINT. BLANK. PERIOD.
