The funny thing about Christina doing it, is that she would normally be the type of artist you would expect to go to interviews and say "Oh, I would never lip sync. It's not being honest to the fans." People consider Christina to be the voice and Britney to be the performer, so of course when Christina tries to dabble in Britney's territory there is going to be backlash and people are going to **** bricks because the "singer" isn't actually singing. Britney's appeal isn't really her singing, thus no one gives a **** when she lip syncs.
I'm personally happy she did lip-sync and just had some fun up on the stage. It's nice to have an energetic/upbeat single from her that requires her to do some dancing, and not just stand there wishing she was an Andrews sister performing at a 1940s USO show.

Unfortunately people FAILED to see this. It's completely true.

Then she should be a backup dancer and not sing at all.
It is hypocritical, indeed. Plus, you could actually hear Xtina singing in her performance (despite the track, of course)

No, you're wrong. The reason Britney lip syncs is because she is also a dancer. Being that, she wants to include that element into her performances. She is a singer on the album, radio singles, etc. But when performing she likes to add other things. To say she should be a backup dancer is just ignorant and shows you have no real sense, and just being a ****ing dumb ass.
For example. We hear Christina's songs, no Mariah is a better example since sometimes Xtina includes other things. We know Mariah's songs, therefore when she performs it's usually just plain and boring cause she's just singing the song.
As for Xtina's performance. It was hot. She attempted to do dance moves, and she knew she couldn't sing AND dance at the same time without losing her breath. And she only started to sing at the end, ad-libbing, when she was no longer doing her choreography.
