She won't do anything with this single. It's too "pop" sounding..like cheesy pop...Disney.

Well it's not like she's singing in Japenese so I wouldn't call it a j-pop breakthrough per say.
But I do hope more j-pop artists follow in her footsteps and crossover into the U.S. market (mostly Namie & Koda) and I know Utada has another English project in the works which I'm also very excited for!

I really hope for that, even if they have to start releasing full english albums. I like Namie and Koda is cool, but I really hope for some Ami and Ayumi as well, if they breakout here, my life will be complete!

Hope she does good because let's face it, US is not very opened to world's music.
Delta Goodrem [Australia] tried in 2006 and she couldn't, now she's trying again. Elisa [Italy] is trying but I don't see anything from her (besides sher music being played on Dacing With The Stars or whatever the show is called in US). Utada [Japan] also tried but she didn't do any promo.

And what happened with atrl estonian beloved Kerli? iTunes is doing the job of promoting her.

Well she's both J-pop & K-pop but I decided to put J-pop .. lol.
And I agree, the U.S. isn't very open to artists of other countries excpet the U.K.
I can see this having some success though. They are actually planning on doing some promo including a U.S. tour.
