Is calling someone trash the biggest insult at the moment?

At one point it was the c-word, last year it was ugly,

but now calling someone or something trash seems to get the job done faster.

How do you feel about trash? Is there a term that feels dirtier to say?

Nope. The C-word and calling somebody ugly are still fighting words.

Joking aside, trash doesn't have any power to it. It's pretty empty. I don't follow the popularity of insults though, so it might be.
